Xu Yingxin, the assistant to the president of China Textile Industry Federation and the executive vice president of the Textile Industry Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stressed in an interview with reporters: "From the exhibits in this autumn and winter fabric exhibition, we can see that there is great room for improvement in fabric development."

Industrial cluster effect
Industrial cluster is the supporting force for the development of China's textile industry. At this autumn and winter fabric exhibition, many textile industry clusters have participated in the exhibition. Among them, the Shishi exhibition group was built with low-key booth and high-profile product innovation technology, attracting the attention of the industry.
According to Xu Yingxin, Shishi has organized a group to participate in the exhibition in the form of industrial clusters, due to the strong support of Shishi government in this regard. In addition, the head of the new Shishi Textile Industry Association is also very thoughtful. The reporter learned from relevant sources that the Shishi exhibition group is a large industrial cluster exhibition group in China, with 41 fabric enterprises participating in the exhibition and 13 Shishi accessories enterprises appearing on the same stage. The exhibition area is nearly 4000 square meters.
At this autumn and winter fabric exhibition, Shishi not only displayed the new image of Shishi City and leisure fabric industry cluster, but also established new business contacts with customers while obtaining orders.
According to the person in charge of the exhibition, the Shishi fabric attracted the attention of foreign businessmen with its high-tech content and innovative technology. Among them, functional and ultra-thin fabrics are new products in the industry, laying a foundation for Shishi fabrics to enter the international market.
Xu Yingxin said that as the organizing committee of the fabric exhibition, for those industrial cluster regions, if the overall level of products has been very good and the industrial development has reached a certain level, the organizing committee has the responsibility to provide platform services for them.
Another "industrial cluster" exhibition area is the fashionable European Pavilion, which is mainly composed of Milano Unica exhibition group in Italy. With the exhibition lineup of more than 130 fabric suppliers, it has become a highlight of the fabric exhibition. Exhibitors from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom want to win the attention of Chinese businessmen in terms of creativity and inspiration of product design.
Adapt to changing markets
A saying in the textile fabric industry is that the competition has not only stayed at the design level, but also that enterprises need to have a "trump card" to win customers and opportunities.
"In the international competition, in addition to the cost performance ratio, there is also a delivery cycle that is 15 to 20 days faster than the competitors." Qin Gang, general manager of marketing of Beijiang Textile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Beijiang Textile), said that 80% to 90% of Beijiang Textile's previous business was foreign trade. Since 2008, it has turned to domestic sales. But this year, there has been a new trend in foreign trade, with a slight increase compared with the previous year.
According to Qin Gang, when developing products, Beijiang Textile used to focus on internationalization, but this year it began to return to Chinese characteristics. At the same time, Beijiang Textile is also constantly improving the integration of domestic and foreign resources, as well as the construction of domestic sales network, to add value to its products through services.
This autumn and winter fabric exhibition, the booth design of Beijiang Textile also reflects the concept of environmental protection. According to Qin Gang, the entire booth is composed of 2638 pieces of 1.5 cm thick wood, which is not only more ventilated and transparent, but also reusable.
"Environmental protection is the responsibility and obligation of enterprises." Yang Bin, the deputy general manager of Guangdong Foshan Zhixing Textile and Garment Co., Ltd., believes that the market environment is getting worse and worse, and the situation is getting worse and worse.
Yang Bin said that the sales of denim products were relatively difficult this year, with the overall domestic sales share declining. At present, the reality that fabric enterprises have to face is that the number of orders placed by customers is decreasing.
According to Yang Bin, the original order quantity of a variety was 100000 square meters, but now it has dropped to 10000 square meters. This is the reality of the fabric market. There is no other way for enterprises to face it. In fact, the European and American markets have also experienced this process.
Event linkage
With the intensification of the competition in the textile industry, the competition among industrial clusters has become increasingly intense.
As a result, the major events held during the fabric exhibition become opportunities for industrial clusters to display. For a long time, the 2013 China International Fabric Design Competition (hereinafter referred to as the 2013 Fabric Design Competition) held during the fabric exhibition has become one of the important professional activities of the exhibition.
The reporter learned from the fabric exhibition organizing committee that the 2013 fabric design competition was co organized by Shaoxing County Government of Zhejiang Province and Shengze Town Government of Wujiang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The theme is "Dream and Path", that is, the path to realize the dream. As two industrial clusters in the textile industry, Shaoxing and Shengze will work together to achieve win-win results.
The competition advocates "science and technology create fashion value" and "innovation concept of innovation driving industrial upgrading" to guide the upgrading of fabric design concept. The award-winning results of the competition show that the proportion of exhibitors winning is relatively high.
In order to attract merchants and create an industrial cluster effect, Shengze also held the release of award-winning products during the 2013 Fabric Design Competition. According to the sponsor, 104 enterprises in Shengze applied for about 1000 pieces of fabric to participate in the competition in 2013, and 166 pieces of award-winning fabrics were awarded. The number of participating enterprises increased by 12.15% year on year, the number of participating fabrics increased by 13.28%, and the proportion of award-winning fabrics increased by 19.11%. In addition, 4 enterprises won the grand prize of the general competition area of the 2013 Fabric Design Competition, and 28 enterprises won the grand prize of Shengze competition area.
In response to this scene, Chen Baojian, deputy director of the Product Business Department of the National Textile Product Development Center, said that the products had performed well in the application of new raw materials, organizational structure design and style finishing, with more rich color applications and superior texture. To some extent, the gap with the international market was being narrowed.
