At the same time, the major international responsibility to improve the global climate and environment has also become an external motivation to encourage the global textile industry to speed up its self adjustment. Strengthening integrated development and realizing complementarity, mutual assistance and mutual benefit is an important way for the global textile industry to effectively seize new opportunities and assume new responsibilities since the international financial crisis.
At present, China's textile industry is at an important turning point in its development. As a member of the global textile industry system, while facing the current instability and uncertainties of the world economy, China's textile industry is still facing major changes in the macro situation, such as the shift of economic growth, structural adjustment and policy transformation. As a result, some inherent structural contradictions accumulated over a long period of time in the industry have become more prominent. The fundamental task of China's textile industry development is to further deepen industrial restructuring, accelerate transformation and upgrading, and strive to adapt to the "new normal" of the world and China's economy. It is also an inevitable requirement for the development of China's textile industry to achieve coordinated and integrated development with the global industry, seek and implement common opportunities and responsibilities in development, and promote transformation and upgrading.
Textile related research report 2014-2018 China's industrial textile market research analysis and investment proposal strategy report 2014-2020 China's textile fabric industry in-depth research and investment prospects forecast research report.
Here, I would like to make some exchanges with you on the current development characteristics of China's textile industry and the main direction of strengthening the integrated development with the global textile industry in the future on the platform of the International Textile Federation Annual Conference, hoping to provide useful reference for all colleagues in the industry to deeply understand China's textile industry and find opportunities for mutual cooperation. The main communication contents are as follows:
China's textile industry has entered a new normal of deep transformation and upgrading
In recent years, with the change of external situation, the development mode of China's textile industry is changing. The total scale of the industry has expanded, but compared with the first decade of this century, the growth momentum has weakened significantly. The industry is committed to gradually improving the industrial structure and development quality to provide effective support for resolving complex external risks. The current development of China's textile industry presents four new features:
The growth rate of total volume slowed down significantly
In recent years, the overall growth rate of China's textile industry has been slowing down. In 2013, the total amount of fiber processing in China reached 48.5 million tons, an increase of 17.4% compared with 2010, with an average annual growth of 5.5%. In the first decade of this century, namely, from 2001 to 2010, the average annual growth rate reached 11.7%. The growth rate dropped by 6.2 percentage points. In 2013, the total export volume of textiles and clothing was 292.1 billion US dollars, an increase of 37.8% over 2010, an average annual growth of 11.3%, and a slowdown of 3.8 percentage points over the previous decade's 15.1% average annual growth rate. From 2011 to 2013, the main business income of national textile enterprises above designated size increased by 12% annually, 6.8 percentage points lower than that of the previous decade; Total assets increased by 9% annually, 3.1 percentage points lower than that of the previous decade.
From 2011 to the first eight months of 2014, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size increased by 10.7%, 10.8%, 8.3% and 7.4% at constant prices on a year-on-year basis. In the first eight months of 2014, the main indicators of textile enterprises above designated size have entered the single digit growth, including the growth of main business income of 8.2% and the growth of exports of 5.7%. The change of data shows that China's textile industry has entered a period of change from high-speed growth to medium growth, and has begun a new historical stage of in-depth structural adjustment and accelerated transformation and upgrading.
Gradual deepening of structural adjustment
The industrial structure adjustment of China's textile industry is gradually deepening, in which the structure of textile products is further optimized. In 2013, the output of industrial textiles in China reached 11.3 million tons, an increase of 37.5% over 2010. The proportion of fiber processing of clothing, household and industrial end products was adjusted from 51:29:20 in 2010 to 48:29:23 in 2013. As a new growth point of the industrial chain, industrial textiles have effectively driven the development of new fiber materials and professional equipment manufacturing, and promoted the structural upgrading of the industrial system.
The supply structure of raw materials was improved rapidly. In 2013, chemical fiber accounted for 80% of the total fiber processing volume in China, 10 percentage points higher than that in 2010, and the differentiation rate of domestic chemical fiber exceeded 50%. Under the condition of high cotton price difference at home and abroad for many years, it effectively guaranteed the stable supply of textile raw materials. The output of recycled textile fiber in 2013 exceeded 6 million tons, accounting for 12.4% of the total fiber processing volume, up from 9.6% in 2010. The role of textile recycling economy in strengthening raw material security is gradually emerging.
Steady progress was made in the adjustment of industrial layout and structure. In 2013, the main business income of textile enterprises above designated size in the central and western regions accounted for 21% of the total industry, 4.2 percentage points higher than that in 2010. The adjustment of domestic regional structure continued. In 2011 and 2012, the foreign direct investment in China's textile industry increased by 56.4% and 107% year on year, respectively, and the ability of enterprises to use international resources to optimize their global layout has improved.
